Ferne Brewster, Lic Ac. BSc (Hons)
I am a fully qualified acupuncturist, registered with the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM). I studied at the Northern College of Acpuncture (NCA) and Glyndwr University where I underwent 3 years of extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Anatomy and Physiology and Western Medicine and gained an honours degree in Chinese Medicine.
I was first introduced to Chinese Medicine as a child, when suffering from recurring ear infections. It wasn’t until 15 years later that a serious health condition led me to acupuncture once again. I experienced huge improvements and became fascinated with the system, so much so that I gave up my degree in Architecture and started one in Acupuncture!
After qualifying, I travelled to India to volunteer at The Acupuncture Institute of Ananda Nagar in West Bengal, where I gained invaluable clinical experience. I treated upto 40 patients a day in a multi-bed clinic and had the opportunity to treat chronic diseases including prolapsed organs, epilepsy, severe malnourishment and a tongue tumour.
I subsequently spent a year living and working in India, offering affordable acupuncture to people in their homes.
I have a particular interest in immunity, allergies, nutrition and ADHD, which led to becoming a qualified practitioner in Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) and extensive learning about the Gut and Psychology Syndrome, a natural treatment for all digestive disorders, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Depression and Autism.
I regularly attend post-graduate courses in the UK, Europe and China to study with pre-eminent teachers.
I have successfully treated patients with a wide range of health issues including pain management, stress relief, digestive and respiratory complaints, infertility, fatigue, gynaecological disorders and allergies to name a few.Click here to learn about Lawrence
